Beginner's Tribal Fusion Series: Class 4 - Ashley Lopez

This was the last class of Ashley Lopez's introduction to tribal fusion. It began with a 10 minute Pilates warmup consisting of crunches and bridge poses. The bellydance portion began with a review of chest squares, circles and figure eights. She proceeded to demonstrate the choo-choo shimmy, review hip ups and demonstrate hip downs, hip slides and vertical figure eights. There was an arm drill consisting of snake arms and shoulder shimmies, and a five minute shimmy drill with level changes, side-to-side steps, and pivots. She reviewed the travelling combination and isolation combination from the previous classes and joined them together, and concluded the class with a 5 minute yoga cool-down. This was a good review of tribal fusion bellydance basics for me, and I'm looking forward to the intermediate tribal fusion four class series coming up in the Integrated Dance Prep program.
