I was supposed to go to a free cooking class this morning at the local mental health club, but I didn't want to trek uphill in the pouring rain. I did day 8 of Spirit of Dance's Step of the Day series on Instagram and Colleena Shakti's "Traveling Two Spin Combo" from Datura Online. I did a knee/hip rehab/injury prevention video from the Patreon of one of my Vancouver fusion bellydance teachers, Nikki Mae. I like it because it's short and sweet and works well at protecting my sensitive knees. I then took a short break, just moving around randomly to music from bellydance videos on YouTube. It exercised with Day 1 of EPIC Heat, a leg day workout. After a few minutes I almost gave up, but I saw on the screen that I'd already done 5 percent, which was encouraging, and I figured that even though the complexes were 3 minutes long, I was getting 45 second rests in between. So I finished it. The staggered Romanian deadlifts to squats, which had been the hardest part of this video when I first worked with it, weren't so hard this time. I got an excellent sweat and my mood felt good.
